Zoe’s Photo Diary – Part 1

This is the first part of our adventure. Being at the airport. The plane journey was 11 hours and 5 minutes, it felt like a whole day actually.

I love my rucksack!

We can see Christ Redeemer from our apartment.

It looks lovely at night

We went in the swimming pool at 6 o’clock, it was very cold.

I love my new swimming cossie

We saw some turtles in a pond and they were climbing on top of each other like mad.

What are you staring at?

I saw some bamboo trees and I put my head in to them, it felt quite funny because (Big Elephants Can Add Up Sums Easily) one was dry and one was wet.

The beach at Ipanema is only sand. We saw big waves and surfers.

It is a gorgeous beach

We went in a cable car up Sugar Loaf mountain and we saw a great view.

Wow Zoe, you look like you’re having a fabulous time. I am getting the classroom ready for everyone coming back to school after the summer holidays in a few days. I bet you’re glad it’s not you!!
Have lots of fun and keep us all updated so I can share it with the class.

Hi Miss Place, Yes, I’m having a fabulous time. Well I am kind of happy I’m not coming back but I’m missing my friends – I wish I could be there for one day! On the first day of term I’m going to be arriving in Manaus in the middle of the Amazon after travelling on a river boat for 5 days. I hope you can try to find it on the world map and stick me on it! I will put up a blog about Flat Stanley and me in Rio de Janiero so everyone can see it! Please say hi to everyone, Love, Zoe
